SalDan has been an active volunteer builder for Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste Marie and Area for several years. We have met so many families who are beyond grateful to receive assistance in achieving homeownership. Their reactions when they see their new homes are the most rewarding part of the experience.
In 2020, SalDan took on Habitat’s #Oakwood2020 project, building a 3 bedroom, 1,290 sq ft. custom bungalow on Oakwood Drive. This was the first fully accessible Habitat home, featuring barrier-free entrances, wider doorways, and a roll-in shower. This home went to a very deserving mother, daughter, and grandmother!
We are happy to say that this year we are also involved in building Habitat’s first two-storey semi-detached home on Wellington Street West, which will serve two families!
SalDan also supports other worthy charities such as the Ontario Finnish Rest Home, Finlandia Retirement and L.T.E. Home, Sault Area Hospital, ADSB Student Bursaries, hospitals such as St. Joseph’s Hospital Toronto, Science North Sudbury, Precious Blood Cathedral, Minor and Youth Sports, many individual youth athletes, and youth-oriented fundraising efforts.
SalDan is celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year! In 1981, President and Owner, Sam Biasucci, began his journey in building quality homes at an affordable price. In the last 40 years, SalDan has built thousands of homes across Northern Ontario, Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury, and the G.T.A., multiple high-class subdivisions, new and renovated schools, as well as several long-term care and retirement facilities!
Thank you to all our amazing customers, partners, and dedicated team members throughout the past four decades! Without you, we would have not made it this far or been able to continue doing what we love: building quality buildings on time and on budget!
And thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving us the opportunity to take part in helping families achieve homeownership! It is organizations such as yours that truly make a difference in people’s lives. We look forward to building many more homes together. Cheers!
