Touch-a-Truck 2022

Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie & Area is excited to announce our newest fundraiser in support of our Affordable Homeownership Program: Touch-a-Truck!

This will be a fun, hands-on event that will allow children of all ages to get up close and personal with vehicles of all shapes and sizes such as firetrucks, police cars, construction equipment, and more! Children will have the opportunity to sit in, interact with, and learn about the vehicles from the drivers themselves. There will also be face painting, character mascots, and many vendors to explore!

All proceeds will support our Affordable Homeownership Program and help local families build brighter futures!

Touch-a-Truck 2022 has plenty of opportunities to get involved:

Provide a Truck

Details

  • Event setup starts at 7:30 a.m. All exhibitors must be on-site by 9:30 a.m.
  • For pedestrian safety, all exhibitors must remain on-site until the event ends at 2:00 p.m.
  • Minimum one person per vehicle must be present during the event

What's in it for me?

This is an opportunity to promote your business while participating in a fun community event. You are welcome to set up a tent, display, or children’s activity, as well as hand out coupons, flyers, or other promotional materials/swag!

  • Gain awareness of your unique vehicle/business!
  • Your logo will be featured on our event pages with a link to your company’s website!
  • Your logo will be included on other promotional materials for the event including posters, flyers, social media promotions (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), newsletters, media releases, and more!

How Do I Get Involved?

Details

There are many options available for sponsorship!

    • Sponsor a truck (such as an emergency vehicle, public works vehicle, etc.)
    • Sponsor an activity (cover the cost of a bounce house, face painting, character mascots)
    • Provide a general donation to receive all the benefits of sponsorship!

Your sponsorship dollars may be used to cover the registration of certain vehicles (e.g. emergency services vehicles), children's entertainment or activities, event signage and promotion, and/or go directly into Habitat's Affordable Homeownership Program. If your sponsorship covers a certain component of the event (e.g. an inflatable bounce house), it will be promoted as such (e.g. "bounce house generously sponsored by ______!")

Charitable tax receipts will be issued for applicable donations.

How Do I Get Involved?

To become a vendor, make a donation of …

  • Minimum $25 if you are a non-profit
  • Minimum $50 if you are a business

Businesses that expect to bring in a great deal of revenue are encouraged to gift a larger donation to Habitat for Humanity. Charitable tax receipts will be issued for applicable donations.

Restrictions:

This event is generously sponsored by the Marconi Cultural Event Centre. The Marconi will be the primary vendor selling lunch food, such as pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, pop, juice, etc.

As such, other food vendors may only offer desserts/sweets and water. Non-food vendors may sell other appropriate goods and/or promote their services.
